Aprilage Development Inc. was started as a consequence of the development of APRIL^® v.1.0. In 1998, under the leadership of Dr. Hooley McLaughlin, the Senior Advisor for Science and Technology of the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto, Canada. It arose as an idea for an interactive exhibit featuring an aging effect. C.O.R.E. Digital Pictures Inc. was contacted to produce the state-of-the-art aging effect for the Timescape exhibition for the upcoming Millennium celebrations. As a result, The Amazing Aging Machine was born, and so was a successful and long standing relationship with the Ontario Science Centre.

Aprilage Development Inc. is located in downtown Toronto. The company currently develops, designs, creates, markets and sells its own proprietary software directly to its clients.
